P.A.C.E. training is for all athletes, in all sports, including but not limited to soccer, football, basketball, volleyball, hockey, softball/baseball, track & field, rugby, lacrosse, tennis, & any other competitive sport. We work with male and female athletes ages 12-18 who are looking for that extra competitive edge.
We have done extensive research in three topics related to each sport to create the P.A.C.E. sport specific program. First, we have broken down the crucial movements that each sport requires individually. Second, we have researched what the most common injuries are in that particular sport, and lastly we examine what types of muscular imbalances occur in the given sport. Sport specific training versus standard training is essential for an athlete, because each sport requires something different and predisposes athletes to different injuries. In addition to breaking down the sport we also carefully evaluate your individual information--the function your sports position requires and your particular strengths and weaknesses--and create a program so advanced and specific you will discover the vast difference between our unique program and one built on a standardized training formula.
As an additional benefit to you, we are extremely well-researched on the most common injury patterns within each sport and the specific rehabilitation of those injuries. This knowledge allows us to include in your program a sport-specific injury-rehabilitation protocol if it is ever needed. Our research, plus our 25+ years of experience with athletes, puts P.A.C.E. on a professional level far above other all-encompassing training programs.
You can see a detailed look at how training for each sport is handled here.
Before an athlete begins the program, we have a one-on-one meeting with athletes, parents, and coaches to assess the athlete's particular situation. This meeting also gives the parents the opportunity to better understand the program and to determine the value of the program to their child's athletic performance. Periodically throughout the P.A.C.E. program we will schedule meetings with athletes and parents to discuss the athlete's performance and improvement. This will offer parents the opportunity to better understand the P.A.C.E. program and see exactly what there child is experiencing in their training!
PROGRAM SPECIFICS
P.A.C.E.
This is the full sports specific training program that encompasses all the aspects of power, agility, core strength, and endurance needed for an athletes sport. This program is designed to be done with individuals and small groups. This program is designed to be performed twice a week for 6 weeks at a time. Each session is 70-90 minutes depending on the size of the group, and the ability of the group.
TEAM TRAINING
This is a branch of the P.A.C.E. training program that allows athletes to train together as a team to help build team unity, confidence, and mental toughness. This type of training can be performed on site at your training facility or at Cross Train Fitness & Health. The focus of this program is overall conditioning and injury prevention. This program varies in time and length depending on the needs of the team and the demands of the sport.
REHABILITATION OF SPORTS INJURIES
This program was developed to deal with any pre-existing chronic or acute injuries. We provide cutting edge physiotherapies including ultrasound, electric muscle stimulation that includes 12 different therapeutic options for the athlete's specific problem, and on site chiropractic care provided by sports chiropractor Dr. Luke Jakubowski DC CSCS. We have analyzed every aspect of sports rehabilitation, preventative rehabilitation, and sports performance to create an all encompassing regimen that is capable of dealing with all athletes and situations.
INJURY PREVENTION TRAINING
This is a additive to your athletes current training program. This is a time efficient and cost affordable program that helps an athlete develop functional flexibility, core strength, and helps an athlete balance muscle strength that may be inherently weak from specific repetitive actions in their sport. This is the most overlooked aspect of training and we feel that these components need to be addressed to keep athletes injury free. This program last approximately 30 minutes per session.
X-PLODE TRAINING
This is the newest edition to the P.A.C.E. program and is focused 100% on developing power in athletes. Power is a component that is needed in every sport from baseball to volleyball. Power training is a very specific style of weightlifting and needs constant supervision, instruction and progression to be effective. You can be assured that our staff will be attentive to details to prevent injuries and allow for optimal progression of an athletes explosive power. This program lasts approximately 45 minutes.
